Deadlines and Dates
February 19, 2010 – Registration begins – must be 14 to 27 years of age on April 15, 2010, and a resident of Shasta, Trinity or Siskiyou Counties to enter.
March 5, 2010–Date has been EXTENDED to March 14, 2010 - at midnight Registration ends. Deadline for submission of business concept questions. Parent permission forms due to SBDC office.
March 26, 2010 - Sixty- to ninety-second (60-90) video elevator pitch uploaded to Business Concept & Elevator Pitch Competition group YouTube site. Send link to SBDC for uploading (kwilson@shastacollege.edu).
April 6, 2010 – Final six contestants (three from each age category) notified and invited to present their 3 to 5 minute innovative business concept at the YEP Business Fair & Competition on April 15.
April 15, 2010 – Young Entrepreneur Program (YEP) Business Fair and Competition held at Shasta College Theatre, Redding. Final six present innovative business concept for chance to win money scholarships. NOTE: Finalists must physically present their business concept in order to be eligible to win.
