Another opportunity coming up for the California Relief Grant

A second opportunity to apply for the California Relief Grant will open on February 2nd.

Late last year, California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced $500M in relief grants for California small businesses.  The first round of applications were submitted between December 30th and January 13th.  Lendistry, the company administering the grant process for the state, has said that approval notifications will go out by Friday, January 22nd.  Eligible applicants who are not approved for the first round will be automatically considered for the second round.

The online portal at careliefgrant.com will allow for a second round of applications beginning February 2nd and ending on February 8th.  Approval notifications for the second round will begin February 11th and continue through February 18th.

If you missed out on the first round you can still apply during the second round.

Go to this website: https://careliefgrant.com/  for more information on eligibility and how to apply.

Some important notes about the process:

Eligible businesses must have commenced operations on June 1, 2019 or earlier

  • Grants amounts will be $5,000, $15,000 or $25,000 depending on the eligible business’ annual revenue
  • Grants will NOT be distributed on a first come first served basis; there are eligibility and preference criteria that can be found on the website
