In over 25 years as an entrepreneur and consultant, David has founded and managed technology companies and has assisted dozens of small and medium-sized businesses. He has over 20 years of direct experience in IP / patents and technology licensing. He has been working with SBIRs and STTRs since the mid-1990s, winning multiple Phase I and Phase II proposals with different agencies. He has also served as an SBIR/STTR proposal peer reviewer.
Emily has her BA in music from Simpson University and utilizes her talents for community events and programs. She has been involved in the food industry for over four years and has worked with small businesses for over 10 years, capturing the entrepreneurial spirit and desire for small businesses to thrive. This easily transfers into her role with the SBDC in assisting entrepreneurs reach their goals by connecting them to the correct resources available to start or grow a business.
Todd is a North State Native with strong ties to Trinity and Shasta County. After serving in the US Marine Corps, he attended Humboldt State University where he earned a Political Science Degree. He worked for Congressman Wally Herger in his Redding Field Office until Herberger’s retirement. He then attend the Coro Center for Civic Leadership’s Fellowship in Public Affairs and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area with a multitude of different entities, before returning to Redding. Todd holds an MBA from Western Governors University.
Rebecca Lehman has been doing accounting since 1995. As a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor she specializes in everything “QuickBooks”. From QuickBooks Pro to Premier, Enterprise Solutions, Advanced Inventory, QuickBooks Point of Sale and Payroll, Rebecca specializes in training business owners to run the financial end of their business for success and sustainability. Rebecca has owned and operated Accounting Advantage Business Solutions, Inc since 2007. Using todays technology and online tools she is here to help business owners succeed and grow their business.
Lani has over 17 years of experience working with small businesses and Downtown organizations. Lani conducts numerous workshops each year targeted at helping small business owners with building a plan to grow their business and increase profits. Consulting specialties include business planning, market research, business feasibility, financial projections, visual merchandising strategies, special event and promotion planning, image building techniques, storefront and interior assessments, and using technology to build customer loyalty. Lani holds a BS in Public Administration from CSU Sacramento.
Keith Obilana has over 15 years of experience working with early stage entrepreneurs; from those still in the idea stage to those who have launched and are trying to scale their businesses. He specializes in business planning, go-to-market strategies, product development, sales, management, operations and strategic planning. Keith is the Co-founder and Director of The Microenterprise Program, a social benefit organization that provides entrepreneurial education to at-risk populations. Keith has a BA in Business Management and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Joe brings to the SBDC program over 45 years of experience in financial services and credit counseling. His expertise ranges from assisting service-based start-ups to counseling existing business owners on loan readiness. He has been teaching various financial service classes for over 20 years. Joe has over 24 years experience as a bank manager lender, and 12 years as a certified FHA/HUD credit and housing counselor. He has spent the last 5 years assisting small business at SCED (Superior California Economic Development) and SBDC (Small Business Development Center).
