A young woman with a passion to connect people through yoga saw an opportunity to transform the hobby she loved into a thriving business.
Challenge
Sarah Wallace had practiced yoga for years. As her interest grew, and as more and more friends came to her for advice and instruction, she decided to take her hobby to the next level. She was an expert in many facets of yoga, but was not sure how to go about starting a business.
Gameplan
Sarah contacted the Shasta-Cascade SBDC for guidance. She met with a business advisor who guided her through everything from getting a business license to financial tracking and social media marketing.
Results
Less than two months after meeting with the SBDC advisor, Sarah secured a studio, started her business and was hosting events. She is excited for the future and looking forward to growth and expansion.
