ABOUT
Neil Petersen and his partners own Trinity County Brewing Company – a brewery and pub located in Weaverville, CA. Their idea was to create high quality, full flavored craft beer and locally sourced, enjoyable food. Their website states: “Through great beer and food, we promote community and place that encapsulates the timeless pioneering spirit of Trinity County.”
CHALLENGES
When the partners first began considering opening the business in 2018, they approached the Shasta SBDC for assistance with many issues including business planning (e.g., the renovation of an old building, capital planning, etc.), financing and marketing strategy.
ACTION
The SBDC helped with advice in all the areas as the company renovated the facility, its opening and its marketing push.
RESULT
Neil was able to open the company in May 2020 and realized success almost immediately. His partners financed the project themselves and now their successful, growing brewery and pub has 11 employees and multiple product lines.
