Does your business need funding?  Focus?  A market strategy?  

A written business plan is essential for all these things — and more.  Banks and investors will insist on one.  Marketing professionals will use it as their guide.  Managers will refer to it to help them steer the company in the right direction.  

This workshop will cover the basics of how to write a successful business plan.

Topics will include: 

  • Purpose of a written business plan
  • Overview of the key components within the plan
  • How to conduct the market research to make your plan stand out
  • Utilizing business plan templates
  • Diving into the financial section of the plan including financial projections and why you need them

Please note: This event will start at 6:15pm due to the new parking rules for downtown Redding. Public parking is unrestricted starting at 6pm, and we wanted to make sure all attendees had time to park for free before the event starts.

Presenters:

Joe Rodola, SBDC Consultant

Joe Rodola comes to the SBDC with over 45 years experience in the Credit field. 25 years in lending, 13 years as Director of CCCS Redding, a debt consulting agency, 20 years teaching various financial classes, 10 year owner of his own service business (Joe Rodola’s Debt Consulting) and 8 years helping small business startups and helping them gain access to capital for both SCED and the SBDC. 
 

John Rowell, SBDC Consultant

John has several years experience in the business field, helping with startups and owning his own business. He has 35 years experience in the insurance field as agent , manager and owner; 3 years as director of SCORE center in Modesto California and was the lead consultant of one of the Central SBDC centers for 11 years.
